Mr. Garfein is the founder (1979) of RPM SYSTEMS CORPORATION.  For over thirty years RPM has been providing project, program, and portfolio management assistance to organizations throughout the world.  He is a recognized thought leader in Strategic Portfolio Management and Expanding Strategic Throughput.  Mr. Garfein has presented over a dozen papers on these subjects at PMI Global Congresses in Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America.  

APACHE HELICOPTER.  Mr. Garfein was a member of the Hughes Helicopter management team (now a part of Boeing) that designed and developed the Apache helicopter.  Among his responsibilities was the implementation of a complex project management system that was validated by United States Army, Navy, and Air Force.

MICROSOFT.  Mr. Garfein has been associated with Microsoft since 1988.  He advised them on the development of Microsoft Project 1.0 for Windows.  RPM is a Microsoft Partner.  

UTS, OXFORD, UCLA, and USC.  Mr. Garfein was a visiting professor at both the University of Technology Sydney and Oxford University’s Templeton College.  He holds degrees in business from UCLA and USC.
